View and BookIf you're looking for a getaway filled with peace, tranquillity and long walks to blow the cobwebs away, Mewstone Meadow is the place for you! Residing in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Mewstone Meadow is the perfect location for those who love exploring the English countryside.
This quaint caravan park which is part of a working 300 acre farm is just over a mile away from Wembury Beach and half a mile from Wembury Point, both boasting incredible views, dramatic cliffs and an incredible diverse selection of wildlife to spot (including the Cirl Bunting for those of you who are bird watchers). Perfect for dog walkers and outdoor enthusiasts, the village of Wembury has coastal walks that cater to everyone. While the more daring can embrace the views from the clifftops, there are plenty of exciting activities closer to the ground! The beach offers incredible rock pools to explore, or take your adventure to the sea and enjoy kayaking, swimming and incredible surfing all within a 5 minute drive. There's also Wembury Walkies, a secure dog walking field close by to take advantage of, where you can soak in views across Wembury Bay while your dog explores safely.
If you're looking for a spot of food, Wembury boasts an array of wonderful eateries including The Mussel Inn and The Eddystone, as well as many beautiful picnic spots. The city of Plymouth has a wide range of attractions for all to enjoy. If you want to explore more breath-taking landscapes, head to Dartmoor National Park where you will find spectacular views, lakes to splash in and ample wooded areas to explore. Also worth a visit is Buckland Abbey, a 700-year-old monastery that offers a wonderful day out and The National Marine Aquarium which is the largest aquarium in the UK. Be sure to check out what The National Trust has to offer locally, including Saltram House & Gardens and Plymbridge Woods where you can follow the old Great Western Railway track, ending with a stop at The Skylark pub.
For those who want a charming staycation, filled with moments that make memories of a lifetime, Mewstone Meadows looks forward to welcoming you.
