Spectacular views of Plymouth Sound
Drakes View
This is an amazing site for watching action in Plymouth Sound and for keen golfers. Also great to be able to walk on the coast road and footpath to the Mountbatten Centre where the regular ferry goes to the Barbican, giving pedestrian access to Plymouth Hoe and city centre. We were very impressed by how helpful Phil was and all he did to ensure everyone staying at the site was happy. We will definitely be returning!

Great little site
Drakes View
The host responded quickly and the directions are good. It is exactly as described, a hard-standing grass covered field with incredible views over Plymouth Sound. If you just want simple with no frills at a good price this will work well for you.

Spectacular views
Drakes View
My wife and I stayed here for 12 nights as a base for visiting our son in Plymouth and were very impressed, the views over Drakes island were spectacular. Phil was very welcoming and helpful. It was the first time we had stayed on a site without electrical hook-up, but found our solar panel kept our battery sufficiently charged to run our lights and pump. We used gas to run our fridge and heating (when needed). The site is very convenient for visiting the Plymouth area and as we had push bikes we found excellent off road trails in the area. As mentioned by others, there is access to the coastal path down the road from site, allowed us to walk to a number of beaches such as Bovisand. A great stay and we would not hesitate to visit again.

Drakes View
Stayed in our motorhome for one night. Simple off grid site, mown grass over hardcore/ stony base so no worries of parking motorhome, views from top of the site over to Plymouth, Drakes Island and Mount Edgcumbe, great for boat watching too! Peaceful site but do hear the drone of the boat engines. Wifi was poor on pitch, had to move closer to building to receive signal.
Owner was there to welcome us and very friendly.
Check directions on booking as road is currently closed! Access to the site is through the carpark of the golf course and the site overlooks the 18th fairway - £15 for a twilight round on a well maintained parkland course.

Retired couple in 6.3 metre camper........................................................................................ ...Very aptly named site tucked away with fantastic views.Well drained hard field on slope where levelIng ramps will be required in most areas.Owner very friendly and helpful.Access by car or bike to many places of interest,coastal path short road walk from site.Enjoyed 5 days here would go again.
