Why stay here ...
- Each pitch has drinking water and grey waste disposal.
- Please note that there is no maximum outfit length at this CL Site
- We are open all year but can only able to take caravans towed by a 4 wheel drive over the winter months as the ground can get very wet, please mention when booking.
- Situated to the west of the Lake District just outside Cockermouth, Birthplace of William Wordsworth. Local seaside towns include St Bees, Whitehaven, Maryport and Silloth.
- Site is lawned with open views, partly sloping with three flat areas. Levelling blocks provided. Easy reach of all the Western Lakes. Good base for fell walking.
- Annual events include Maryport Blues Festival, Cockermouth's Food festival and several local farmers annual shows.

Perfect for a quiet break
I can only agree with previous reviewers - this immaculately kept CL excels in every aspect, with an advisory for just one thing: there are 14 steps in 2 short flights to get to the toilet emptying point plus shower & toilet; those with restricted mobility might find it an... Show more

Fantastic CL

Best CL in Lake District
We returned for our third fortnightly visit to this site and will return next year. Everything you need on a CL better than a club site any day, not that we've stayed on one for years! Nothing is too much trouble for Mark or Graham, ease to site your outfit... Show more

Perfect.
Spent a week here and couldn't fault it. Immaculately kept and friendly helpful owners. Handy for the coast and western lakes without too much driving. Will definitely be back.

Great CL
We've just returned from a 6 night break at this great CL. Lovely peaceful large lawned site with spacious pitches, all with their own waste and water points. The views are amazing, and we had some cracking sunsets. Highly recommended.

Lovely site
We stayed here 7-14 May 2019, using the site as a base for walking this part of the England Coast Path. On arrival we saw our pitch was reserved for us, and Mr. Abbot gave us a warm welcome, and showed us where everything was. The site is sloping away... Show more

Why stay anywhere else?
The pictures don't do this site justice our expectations were exceeded. We had a commanding pitch with views all round, even the heifers in the field next to us were amusing and playful. Hosts informative, engaging and made us feel welcome at all times even offering me a go on... Show more

A Gem of a site
Not far from Cockermouth town centre. Lowes Water, Crummock Water & Butttermere within a short drive away. A bonus to have service pitches.

Great Little CL
Excellent lawned site with nice views. Good clean facilities. WiFi included too. Well worth a look as handy for Western Lakes.

Nice site
A nice CL with good facilities located a few miles west of Cockermouth, so handy for the western lakes and the coast. As others have said it's on a fair slope, but the owner provides plenty of levelling blocks, so it's not an issue. The provision of water and waste to each... Show more
