Days 1 - 2: Atlanta
On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your centrally located 4-star hotel where you will spend the next two nights.
Days 3 - 4: Montgomery
Distance: 155 miles
Transfer to the motorhome depot to collect your motorhome. It’s then an easy 2 and a half hour drive on the Interstate to Alabama and to Montgomery, the State Capital. We suggest a visit to the Jefferson Davis’ Confederate White House and a visit to Old Alabama Town, a collection of restored 19th and 20th century homes.
Day 5: Mobile
Distance: 185 miles
Today we begin the journey to New Orleans but as it’s a long drive, we recommend breaking the journey in Mobile, Alabama. Here you can see the Battleships at the Memorial Park and the Conde-Charlotte Museum which over the years has been ruled by the French, the English, the Spanish, the Confederate and the Americans.
Days 6 - 8: New Orleans
Distance: 160 miles
Continue south-east to the historic city of New Orleans: the birthplace of jazz. There’s so much to do in New Orleans that you'll be spoiled for choice, but we suggest visiting Jackson Square, Basin Street and Audubon Park, cruising the Mississippi aboard a paddle steamer or taking a day tour to the swamps. You could also visit one of the beautiful Plantations in the area.
