Set on our stunning pop-up campsite on the Holkham Estate, these beautifully decorated bell tents have all the luxury amenities you could need during your glamping break at Holkham. Explore all the attractions of the Norfolk Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty coastline, including the Holkham National Nature Reserve and Holkham Beach, with some of the best coastal cycling and walking routes in England.

Glamping terms and conditions

Payment

Full Payment will be taken at the time of your booking.

Glamping pitches are available to book up to 1 day before arrival date, subject to availability. We cannot accept anyone who has not pre-booked.

A non-refundable transaction fee of £1.00 will be added to all bookings.

A booking is made with us when you complete our booking process and we issue you with a booking confirmation.

Your Booking

The number of people staying in the accommodation must not exceed the number of people booked. Maximum occupancy per Glamping unit is 4 persons.

We do not accept bookings for party events, stag/hen parties or similar. If you are making a booking for 3 accommodation units or more then please contact us at popupsites@camc.com to check availability and discuss your booking. We reserve the right to refuse bookings should they appear unsuitable for the accommodation and reserve the right to refuse admission on arrival if any aspect of the booking is misrepresented.

Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations received before 30 days of arrival date will be refunded in full minus £1 transaction fee.

Cancellations received within 30 days and up to 48 hours before arrival date will be refunded 50% of total booking fee minus £1 transaction fee.

Cancellations within 48 hours of arrival are non-refundable.

All cancellations will be calculated from 13:00 on the arrival date.

Changes and cancellation by us

We may cancel your booking or change the booked accommodation at any time by notifying you of the change or cancellation by email. In the case of a change to the accommodation, if you do not wish to accept the change you may cancel your booking by following the instructions in the email.

If we or you cancel your booking as described above we will refund you any payments that you have made for the booking, but you will not be entitled to any compensation or reimbursement of other costs in relation to the cancellation.

If bookings are cancelled by us as a result of government stipulations stating that sites can not reopen due to Covid-19 or similar pandemic, or are forced to close, all money for the stay will be refunded, or part-refunded if you are already resident on site.

Arrivals and departures

Check-in times are between 15:00 and 19:00. We ask that you arrive within those times and reserve the right to refuse entry before 15:00 or after 19:00. 

Check-out time is 15:00

Campsite

Campsite office open daily from 09:00 to 20:00

Your vehicle must be parked within your allocated pitch, we advise that use of your vehicle is kept to an absolute minimum during your stay. A strict speed limit of 5 mph applies on site at all times.

Quiet time please between 20:00 - 08:00

To help protect the surrounding wildlife, we ask that you limit your additional external lighting as much as possible. You may get asked to remove or turn down any lighting we deem unnecessary.

Designated out of bounds areas must be respected. Anyone seen ignoring onsite signage and entering these areas could be asked to leave.

Showers and toilet facilities

Temporary site facilities, including showers, toilets and a washing up area will be available. During cleaning the facilities will be closed.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome. The following terms and & conditions apply to any bookings including a dog:

  • Dogs are clean before entering the tent.
  • Dogs are not permitted on the bedding or beds.
  • You bring your own dog bed. 
  • You bring suitable cleaning materials with you. 
  • You, The Guest, confirm that the bell tent will be left in the high standard to which it was found. 
  • You, The Guest, accept that any excess damage made during my stay will be paid for.
  • Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and should not be left unattended for long periods.
  • Dog waste must be cleaned up and disposed of appropriately

Fire safety

Fire extinguishers and alarms will be at service points 

Open fires on your pitch such as fire pits, are not permitted and will be put out.

Barbeques need to be raised off the ground. Please note that in very hot and dry weather we may ask you to not use your BBQ.

The use of fireworks or Chinese lanterns in the campsite is strictly prohibited

The use of any cooking equipment within your accommodation is not permitted. 

Risks and Responsibilities

All persons attending the campsite do so at their own risk and no responsibility for persons or property is accepted by The Caravan and Motorhome Club.

Damage and behaviour

When you book with us, you accept responsibility for any damage or loss caused by you or any member of your group. Proper payment for any such damage or loss must be made at the time directly to site staff.

We expect all guests to have consideration for other people, respecting the privacy and peace of others at all times by keeping to a minimum mechanical, instrumental or vocal noise. If, in our opinion or in the opinion of any site staff, you or any member of your group behaves in such a way as to cause or be likely to cause danger, annoyance or distress to any other third party or damage to property, we are entitled, without prior notice, to terminate your booking. In this situation you and the members of your group will be required to leave the site. No refunds will be made and we will not pay any expenses or costs incurred as a result of the termination.

Guests agree, for themselves and on behalf of the other occupants of the Tent they have booked:

  • That NO SMOKING OR VAPING is permitted in or within 3 metres of the Tent.
  • Not to use any lighting, heating, cooking or gas appliances or electric heaters, or any fire, candle or other naked flame in the tent unless battery operated.
  • Guests agree to KEEP THE TENT CLOSED, dry and secure and in particular to close any door fastenings when the tent is vacant or occupied and always on departure.
  • Not to tamper with the structure or any part of the equipment and in particular not to affix or suspend any item from the Tent.
  • Not to bring animals into Tents unless pre-agreed.
  • Guests will be asked to pay for any damage or excessive soiling to the Tents during the hire period.
  • Guests agree to leave the tent empty of any rubbish, debris.

Personal Data

The Caravan Club Ltd is a registered data controller and is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office as required by the Data Protection Act 1998. The personal data provided by our members and non-members will be processed in accordance with The Caravan Club Ltd, trading as the Caravan and Motorhome Club registration, company policy and current data protection legislation for the purposes of administering this event.

Holkham Visitor Offer Terms and Conditions

The Holkham Visitor Offer is exclusively for paying guests of the Holkham Pop-Up Campsite only.

A unique discount code will be emailed with your booking confirmation.

Pre-booking required. 30% discount off standard admission tickets to the Hall, Walled Garden and Holkham Stories. Discounts cannot be used for events. Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. The Hall itself is only open Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays.

A valid booking confirmation will be required on entry to validate the discounted admission tickets.
