Say hello to Dornafield Touring Park

We are delighted to announce we have successfully purchased the award-winning Dornafield Touring Park, located in the beautiful area of Newton Abbot in south Devon. Dornafield Touring Park has been an Affiliated Site with the Club since 1998 and is available to book now for stays from 10 March 2023.

Situated in a quiet valley and surrounded by beautiful countryside, the campsite is perfectly placed for exploring Torquay, Totnes, Newton Abbot and Dartmoor. Just a short drive away is the famous English Riviera of Torbay, with loads of scenic attractions to enjoy. If you turn your attention inland you'll find that the rugged splendour of Dartmoor is well worth the visit. To the south west of the caravan site you can explore the Elizabethan Totnes on the River Dart, offering romantic, winding boat trips. The towns of Plymouth and Exeter are also within easy reach for all the conveniences you could wish for, and even golfers will not be disappointed with the challenging Dainton Park 18-hole golf course nearby.
Enjoy a range of pitch types and facilities
The site boasts over 100 all-weather fully serviced pitches and guests are welcome to use the facilities including the shower room, the laundry rooms, Wi-Fi access, a tourist Information room, electric vehicle charging points and more. There’s plenty for the kids to be entertained with an Indoor Games Room with table tennis, pool and darts, two adventure playgrounds and an all-weather tennis court. There are also storage pitches that are available to book.

Rated five-star by Club members, Dornafield Touring Park enjoys consistently excellent reviews, with guests particularly enjoying the high quality onsite facilities, fantastic on site shop, dog walks and great location. One member commented 'The facilities were excellent - modern, clean and tidy with piped music! They got the big thumbs up from our teenage daughter!’.

Existing bookings
If you have an existing booking, please rest assured this will be honoured and will not be affected by the change in ownership. Pitch allocations will remain as booked and all deposits have been transferred to the Caravan and Motorhome Club and we will contact you before the end of January 2023.
We would like to thank Simon Dewhirst and the team for all their hard work building and maintaining this fantastic campsite over the years and look forward to continuing their success.
