Capron GmbH was formed back in 2005 as a joint venture of Hymer AG and Dethleffs GmbH & Co. KG.  Capron GmbH began motorhome and caravan production in November 2006 in Neustadt in Sachsen which is located in the Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge region of Germany.  Today Carado and its sister brand Sunlight are produced at this site which now produces motorhomes in their new factory built in 2018.  Carado is part of the Erwin Hymer Group.
