Why stay here ...

Cong Camping, Caravan & Glamping Park is a small family run Park located in an area of outstanding beauty on the borders of counties Mayo and Galway. The Park is one mile from one of Ireland’s most beautiful villages – the world renowned, Cong, in the Joyce Country & Western Lakes Geopark in Connemara.

Cong is one of Ireland’s top 10 destinations. The village is an inland island surrounded by water, with quaint shops and cafes and historical ruins dating back as far as the 12th Century.

There is an abundance of outdoor activities on the Park's doorstep - from kayaking, horse riding, cycling and walking trails through the 2,000 acres of woodlands that surround Cong to more adventurous mountain climbs in Connemara including the Maamturks, the Twelve Bens, and Croagh Patrick – the Holy Mountain of Ireland's Patron Saint.

The Park is 5 minutes walk from Ireland's finest brown trout and salmon fishing on Lough Corrib and 10 minutes walk from the world famous Ashford Castle. Hawk walks are a real treat at Ireland's School of Falconry at Ashford Castle and Cruises on Lough Corrib depart from Lisloughrey Quay 5 minutes walk from the Park. The John Wayne movie The Quiet Man was filmed in Cong and enthusiasts can visit The Quiet Man Museum in the village or take a tour of the original movie locations.

The Park offers modern facilities including a shower block, campers' kitchen, sitting room, mini-cinema, laundry, BBQ area, children's playground and free Wifi throughout.  The area is perfect for dog walking and dogs are very welcome.
