NEVER BEEN SO DISAPPOINTED

Jungfrau
ON ARRIVAL WE WERE TAKEN TO OUR ALLOTED COMFORT PITCH. NO WAY COULD ANYONE DESCIBE IT AS A COMFORT PITCH. IT WAS AT THE END OF TWO ROWS OF STATIC CARAVANS THAT HAD NO APPARENT OCCUPENTS. WHILST REARRANGING ANOTHER SITE WITH THE CAMC WE SAW NO ONE OVER A TIME OF 35 MINUTES. ABSOLUTELY DESERTED. THE APPROACH ROAD WAS FULL OF BIG POTHOLES. THE PITCH WAS THE FURTHEST ONE COULD GET FROM THE ENTRANCE. THE VIEW FROM THE FRONT WINDOW WAS NOT SCENIC BUT A HEAP OF GRIT CHIPPINGS. THE PITCH NEXT TO US WAS OBVIOUSLY A VACANT STATIC CARAVAN PITCH WITH LONG GRASS AND SLABS STACKED HIGH WE WERE OFFERED ANOTHER PITCH WHICH DID CONVINCE US IT WAS TIME TO LEAVE AND SEEK A BETTER SITE.

Stunning area

Jungfrau
Stayed here 1st week September and was fortunate with weather no clouds and full sun every day 26c. Because of the mountains around the sun was only on my pitch from 1030 until 1515 ea day. Had a very nice welcoming when arrived and shown to pitch small shop a bar and a restaurant on site. 20mins walk into Lauterbrunnen with all its shops and restaurants. The 3 day rail pass is expensive but well worth it if use it well. Covers boat trips also so much to do and see in the area. Very busy all across the area. Really enjoyed my stay. Highly recommended

Very good site but very busy

Jungfrau
A very nice site close to the village and all the train/cable car connections. We were there in the height of summer and it was packed to the rafters with not a lot of room between pitches. Toilets were very good and clean and we particularly liked the big family rooms. The Jungfrau 3 day pass is expensive but if used properly well worth the money.

One of the best.

Jungfrau
Must be one of the nicest places in The World. Stunningly beautiful area that just gets better the more you look (and the higher you go). Clean site with very good facilities. Read the other reviews and they will tell you all the great points about this site. Only a couple of things to note - the site was obviously making maximum use of the season so very busy and everyone rather packed in (motorhome 3 feet from us) also, as the valley is so deep, the amount of time that you get direct sunshine is shorter than usual (better when it is very hot). Would definitely return.

Stunning scenery

Jungfrau
This site is in a beautiful spot, stunning scenery to wake up to. 5 minute walk into town and just an hours walk to the cable car to the top of the Schilthorn. You can book tickets to travel to the Jungfrau but this is quite expensive. The shower block was immaculate and had relaxing music playing whilst you carried out your ablutions. Very helpful staff and a small well stocked shop. The restaurant and bar weren’t really open while we were there but there are plenty of restaurants in town.
