Why stay here ...
Camping Bad Ragaz is set amongst the beautiful, mature trees of the Giessenpark, a local recreational area and park. The town of Bad Ragaz is a well-known spa town that uses the healing water from the Tamina Spring that gushes out 8000 litres in every minute.
From the campsite enjoy excursions into the surrounding mountains, on foot or mountain bike in the summer and on skis or snowboarding in the winter.
The site is also the ideal starting point for excursions into the surrounding villages and lakes. The perfect spot if you are seeking adventure, relaxation or just the classic Swiss chocolate box view.
Just over the nearby Rhine river is one of Switzerland's best wine regions and the delicious Pinot noir that thrives on the sunny slopes. It is also home to great restaurants with terraces to enjoy a meal overlooking the valley.
For family fun check out the ski and hiking regions of Pizol and Flumserberg. In the summer they offer family friendly hiking trails, alpine playgrounds and many activities for adrenaline-seekers like downhill mountain-carts, a climbing tower and a toboggan run. In the winter enjoy the slopes with breath-taking views on your skis, snowboard or on a sledge.
The team at reception is happy to give you information about the surrounding area and as a camping guest you also enjoy free entry to the public outdoor swimming complex next door. Especially great on a hot summer's day.
On site you will also find an adventure playground, a small shop for your camping needs and the restaurant “Bistro im Park” with local delicacies.
For day trips the station at Bad Ragaz has daily trains to the vibrant cities of Bern and Zurich.
