Set in the heart of Rural Drenthe, Camping Vorrelveen is a small, charming campsite. The friendly owners Bianca and John will give you a very warm welcome.
It is a perfect location for nature lovers who love hiking and cycling. The National parks (Drents-Friese Wold and Dwingelderveld) are just a few Kilometres away from the site.
The Campsite is very well looked after and has spacious grassy pitches. It is an oasis of peace and quiet interrupted only by bird song. There are deer in the fields and you can enjoy the beautiful sunrise and sunsets.
It also has its own herb garden for visitors to use when preparing a meal or for a fresh mint tea.
Wine tasting and homemade fresh take away pizzas are also available on site with local products, freshly baked rolls and fresh eggs.
The campsite is also very child-friendly with various play equipment available, adventures and entertainment organised and there is a large swimming lake at only 3km away.

Take at the A28 the highway exit number 30, then follow the Beilervaart to Hoogersmilde and take the third bridge to the right, immediately to the left and follow the road to number 10.

We have stayed here twice and hope to go back soon. John and Bianca are great hosts who provide a superb servce and very good pizza. It is a lovely peacful site in beautiful countryside with lots of great cycling in the area.
