Set in a rural location near the village of Denekamp in Twente on the border of Germany, this site is an ideal base from which to explore the local area. Set in beautiful site grounds, there are excellent amenities such as a bar, restaurant, shop and an indoor swimming pool. Water sports can also be enjoyed at the large fishing lake with its sandy beach.
The region has much to offer, with thousands of kilometres of cycling and hiking routes traversing the countryside. The nearby town of Ootmarsum is worth exploring, and the Cosmos Observatory in Lattrop is a beautiful planetarium that houses the largest telescope in the Netherlands. Those willing to head further afield can reach Münster in around 75 minutes.

We thoroughly enjoyed Camping de Papillon with its laid back feeling and would heartily recommend it to anyone who wishes to have a relaxing time in the east of The Netherlands. There is an excellent network of well signposted cycle paths throughout the area, which we at times made good... Show more

This site is well kept and well looked after, the facilities are immaculate! The staff are all very helpful, the owner Alex does everything possible to make your stay a good one. This site is family orientated yet there are quiet areas on site but you will get some play... Show more
