Camping Maslina

Why stay here ...

Camping Maslina is located on the main Montenegro coastal road, south of the large holiday resort of Budva in Buljarica, just 2 kms from Petrovac. This main connecting road runs all the way down from the Bay of Kotor to Ulcinj, with its pretty bay and old town and the border of Albania.

The site is a medium sized campsite with around 100 pitches, situated 200 metres from the main road and the same from the beach. It was created by the Zaradic family in 1969 and the family member that you will be most likely to meet at reception and around the site is the son Michael. He is very friendly, speaks many languages including English and is a wealth of information about the country and his local area.

 A peaceful setting amongst 300 year old Olive trees with other varieties, such as oaks, ash and elm trees provides welcome shade on the pitches from the strong sunlight and heat in the summer months and creates a peaceful atmosphere on site.

A short walk through the site and out through the bottom gate takes you down to the black sandy and stone beach, where you can find a restaurant beach bar and sun loungers and parasols to rent. Relax and read a book or swim in the Adriatic sea, the choice is all yours.

The sanitary facilities in two separate buildings are modern and cleaned regularly and there is wifi although it is limited on site. You can buy cards locally for wifi usage that are very good value.

From the site you can catch a bus to the local village or further along the coast to Budva and Bar. 

In the surrounding area there are lots to visit, Sveti Stefan a mediaeval village with its causeway across to the land is only 12 kms from the site. The Skadar National Park is just over an hour’s drive and here, you can take an organised  boat trip ranging from 40 mins to 4 hrs long and gaze upon the mountains in the distance and the fantastic wildlife closeby. It's a fabulous natural and unspoilt place and not to be missed.

Budva and Bar two of Montenegro's biggest coastal resorts are easy to reach for a day trip and even the bay of Kotor and the old town of Kotor are only 42 kms north on the coastal road. The site is a perfect base for exploring all the sights of the lower regions of Montenegro.
