Camp at Bocha's

Why stay here ...

Camp Bocha’s is situated 2.1 kms south west of Zabljak, the main town in the Durmitor National Park. It is at an altitude of 1,450m and has 2,000m2 of fenced field used by travellers with tents with a hardstanding area in the centre for Motorhomes and Caravans. You have a fabulous view of the surrounding countryside and the mountains from the campsite. 

The reception is friendly and welcoming and can help with information about the local area and organise rafting, picnics and safaris. 

There is a hardstanding and grass camping area for barbecuing along with a fully kitted out kitchen with a seating area that is for all campers to use.

The site added a second new sanitary block with hot showers this year. 

Just on the other side of Zabljak town, there is the Durmitor National Park Centre where you can walk along the many trails. Parking is possible along the main road before the entrance of the park and you can buy a map for 3 euros at the Office, situated up on the right handside 200 metres before the entrance where you pay to get in. 

The Tara river canyon, which is 80 kms in length, is the deepest canyon in Europe. Bitine is about half an hour's drive from Bocha’s and here you can go white water rafting or sail above the canyon on one of the two ziplines - an amazing ride. There is even one zipline with a lying down harness, which means that you can really do it at any age. For the faint hearted you can walk across the impressive Durdevica Tara bridge and gaze down into the canyon and the green river Tara and take in the spectacular views.

The drive up to the National Park and the campsite is a good steady safe drive with a couple of tight corners but readily accessible for all outfits. The views are magnificent and there is still snow up on the mountains right into the summer and skiing is possible in the winter time with a cable car and small ski station.
