The Centro Turistico San Nicola is located in the heart of the Gargano National Park on the south east coast of Italy in the Puglia region. It has its own 700m long private beach of soft white sand and crystal clear sea in a bay with scenic cliffs at each end, surrounded by green Mediterranean bushland. The area has been awarded several times with the Blue Flag for the quality of the water, add to this countless bays, caves and islands it really is a haven for sea and beach lovers
Boat trips out to the local marine caves at Mattinata and day trips to discover the stunning Tremiti islands, classed as a marine reserve, are possible directly from the campsite. Walks, hikes, picnic areas and jeep safaris are all on offer in the Gargano National park. Choose your activity and enjoy this natural environment on the campsite’s doorstep. Monte Sant’Angelo and San Giovanni Rotondo are perfect day trips to visit the mountain communities of the Gargano, which is rich with history and architecture spanning back to the 4th Century BC.
On site facilities include a popular restaurant,pizzeria, beach bar which offers delicious fresh fish specialities with breathtaking views and the sound of the waves. For sporting activities there are tennis courts, various water sports and a football field along with a children's playground. A well stocked shop selling fresh food, papers and regional wine is situated at the heart of the campsite which is set amongst pine trees down to the beach with small shady and partially shady pitches available. A busy popular site in the summer months, the site is quieter and more peaceful outside of school holidays.
