Ideally situated for visiting both the magnificent sights of Potsdam and also the historic capital city of Berlin. The site is set in woodlands only 2kms from the Sanssouci park and its beautiful palace built in the 18th Century by Frederik the Great.
Sans Souci has a modern attractive reception, shop, restaurant and beach bar overlooking the Templiner See and you can enjoy the very varied delicious homemade food at the popular restaurant with a breeze coming off the lake. Watch the boats and canoes out on the lake and enjoy the sunset.
The site has many trees and the smallish pitches are busy all year around as the site is ideal for longstays and stopovers to visit the two cities. There is also a hotel just 200m from the site where you can use the spa facilities after tiring days sightseeing.
A free shuttle bus runs from the campsite into the train station at Potsdam. Perfect to visit Potsdam and its Unesco listed gardens and palaces or to take the train to Berlin, this vibrant city only an hour away with its long and eventful history and major attractions such as Checkpoint Charlie, the Brandeburg Gate and the Reichstag.

If it wasn't for the weather which was cold and occasionally snowy we would have extended our stay here as the location was brilliant being within easy transfer to Berlin but also Potsdam and the surrounding area is excellent for a main holiday let alone a 3 night stay like... Show more

We enjoyed this site. It is located by a lake and we found getting to Berlin was easy. The facilities were very good and the staff in reception were very helpful. The only downside was the Wi-Fi only appeared to work at reception.

The site is beautifully located with great bike rides around the lake and beyond. It is convenient for visiting Potsdam which is a lovely city but not what I would describe as perfect for visiting Berlin as it takes a walk or transfer, a tram and then a train ride.... Show more

Having read several (mostly negative) reviews I wonder whether these people stayed at the same campsite as we did. European sites are very different from those at home! We stayed at Sanssouci between 3rd and 10th July and enjoyed 8 nights for the cost of 6 after which 'high season'... Show more

We stayed here in order to visit Berlin and Potsdam. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, English spoken. There is a free taxi service to and from the tramstop; from there you can take the tram to Potsdam and visit Sanssouci Park or change for trains to Berlin. We... Show more
