Why stay here ...

This spacious site is set around the Doktorsee man made lake in Lower Saxony. It's perfect for a relaxing stopover travelling across Germany to Berlin and Czechia or on the way up to Denmark and Hamburg. 

It’s a large site with residents and many camping pitches which attracts both German families and international guests who come to enjoy the wonderfully natural countryside.

You can choose from different areas on the campsite, from near to the restaurants or washing facilities  to near to the natural reserve area and many pitches overlook the lake. 

There are three restaurants on site, a wonderful sauna spa area, “The Oasis” payable on site, children’s playgrounds, a sandy beach with slide and pedal boats to hire, a skittle alley and mini golf.

It’s a fun, busy site for families in the high season with water slides and trampolines by the lake, a classic car event and a summer festival with music and fireworks. 

In  the low season it's  perfect for a peaceful natural break with a dog playground, fantastic dog walks all around and dog showers on site. 

The famous Weser cycling trail goes directly from the site up into the surrounding hills. In the local area there are many small traditional  towns, a Cathedral, a Monastery and a Palace to visit. 

Doktorsee is also perfect for just relaxing and enjoying the lake views.
