Les Ourmes is situated in the heart of the Medoc area, nestled in between the forest, the largest freshwater lake in France and the Atlantic Ocean coastline.
At the lake, 200m from the site you can enjoy all kinds of activities including kayaking/sailing/kitesurfing/paddle boards, fishing, the giant inflatable splash park for children, horse riding and a tennis club.
In the local area there are 125 Kms of cycle paths to enjoy taking you through the forests around the lake and the local villages. The nice sandy beache of "Hourtin Plage" is only a short drive through the forest from the site.
Further afield you'll find the Unesco world heritage site of Bordeaux with its superb architecture and surrounding vineyards. Take the wine route and enjoy tasting the local "Medoc Rouge" in one of the many châteaux.
