Why stay here ...

This pretty verdant site, is a haven for nature lovers and for anyone who loves peace and tranquility. Its friendly new owners and staff work hard to make sure guests enjoy their stay in this popular campsite.

New this year to the swimming pool area, with its paddling pool for the younger children, is a superb 12 person jacuzzi available from mid june to mid september.
The lovely restaurant offers a range of local cuisine and there is the newly redecorated indoor area with bar and an outside terrace set in the garden to enjoy al fresco dining in the shade of the trees.

Set across from the banks of the Sevre River, in the heart of the Marais Poitevin, this site is perfect for fishing and the site hires out canoes and bicycles enabling guests to explore the local area. Visitors can discover many signposted walking paths, 300 kms of cycle trails as well as the canals with boats to hire, just perfect to explore in different ways.

The views from the river are picturesque with quaint houses dotted along the riverside and plenty of spots for a picnic along the way. The historic village of Coulon is within walking or cycling distance along the river banks and offers other dining possibilities. There is a local bus service that runs to the railway station 600 metres from the site. Around and about in the area are many fabulous day trips to the local islands and the town of Niort.

Shortened stay.

We were booked here for 7 nights in mid-May and received a very friendly welcome from the young ladies on reception on arrival. We had booked an extra large serviced pitch and were allocated one of the largest we have ever been on, 140m2 to 180m2. All pitches are on... Show more

A delightful site

This was a lovely peaceful site in mid June. I could see why a lot of British motorhomers and caravanners return. The location is good, pitches decent sized & staff very helpful & friendly. Nice canal walk into Coulon in the rain. We wished we could have extended our stay... Show more

Why not a 5 star

I’m overall this is a good site. Their were just a couple of niggles for us to drop a star. 1. Petty perhaps but my wife and I were disappointed with no hot water in the wash basins. The showed were fine. It was only the hand basins. I dislike... Show more

A delightful place

This area is a delight: canals and rivers everywhere. Really recommend a boat trip to appreciate the incredible canal system and wildlife. Pitches were generous in size, restaurant useful rather than gourmet and a friendly bar area. It was very hot whilst we were there so a... Show more

Lovely location

We arrived on site on World Cup Final day - much anticipation for the French! The pitch allocated was flat; approx 10m x 15m and offered plenty of shade from the hot weather (much needed) and the water supply and drainage were straightforward at the rear of the pitch. At the time... Show more

Water and Drainage

Great site, will certainly return. Be aware although advertised as each pitch having water and drainage the location of these facilities is at the front of some of the pitch and you'll need extra long piping to reach the drain. Also the water is shared with the next pitch and you'll need...
