Why stay here ...

A former municipal site located in the suburbs of Châlons-en-Champagne, ideally located as an en route stop with good access to the major routes.
The Champagne capital of Reims is within easy access, with its magnificent Gothic cathedral and the town of Chalons-en-Champagne is well worth a visit.  There is a convenient bus service that runs very close to the site entrance.

There is an attractive lake on site so despite its urban setting, the site retains a pleasant rural character.  A number of amenities are free of charge to guests, notably tennis and mini golf plus there`s also a small snack bar. The site is good for short stays and although it has limited facilities and still retains a municipal feel, it is well maintained by friendly staff and has good large pitches.

There are 2 washblocks on site. The first of these is adjacent to reception, close to most touring pitches and is of a good standard, clean and well maintained. The second block, at the far end of the site, however is much older, and although clean, it is inferior to the main block. We understand that there are plans to replace this block in the near future.

Note: At the time of the champagne harvest (late August / early September), the campsite is used by a significant number of grape pickers, who have travelled to the region from all parts of Europe. Inevitably, the site is much busier at this time, with more pressure on the wash blocks and other facilities.

REALLY - 4star rating - inspect it again!!!

The only slightly positive thing for this site is it's convenient as a one night stop along the A26. HOWEVER - we'll never visit this site again. The pitches are unkempt, the toilet blocks are disgustingly filthy, one block the showers were stone cold - no warm water at... Show more

Awful site

The campsite facilities were appalling. Will not come here again.

Ideal for a one night stop over.

A Former municipal site, now part of the Aquadis-Loisirs group. Approximately 120 pitches, both grass and hardstanding. There are also 14 statics on site. Site is popular for one night stopovers, as it is not too far from the A14 Autoroute. There are two Facilities blocks on site. The one... Show more

Arrived during the agricultural festival the first weekend in September, very busy town and route to site but found no problem towing and arrival, only stayed overnight enroute south, very peaceful night, pleasant reception and given a perfect pitch. Returned two weeks later for a five night stay, town quieter but the... Show more

Good for short stops.

After reading some of the reviews on here we were a bit concerned as we had already booked a one night stopover whilst returning from Switzerland. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the site is nowhere near as bad as some reviews. Very generous pitches (for French... Show more

Excellent site

We had 4 sites booked in France. Unlike the UK they are rated in France by the local authority. We booked two 4 star sites including this one and two 5 star sites. We ended up back at this site as we were very dissappointed with the others. Yes the facilities are... Show more

Don't book here unless it's just a stop over.

We stopped here on our way home from Switzerland so only stayed here from 16:30pm to 8am the following day (which was enough). The site could be nice with a lot of maintenance and cleaning. I'm not really sure how this is a recommended site on here. The staff are... Show more

Not recommended! Avoid and find somewhere else!

Lovely friendly staff. In major need of an update and overhaul! It’s not been touched for years! Poorly maintained - pitches in need of a clear up. Toilet block very poor- no toilet seats are not suitable for us. Luckily we are self contained and used to using our own facilities. Heavily used as a... Show more
