Why stay here ...

Riis Feriepark is a family run campsite surrounded by forests set in the middle of Jutland. Members will receive a warm welcome from Vivi and Keld the English speaking owners.

For the active there are the sources of Gudena and Sjkerna nearby with their natural beauty and several hiking trails. The attractive towns of Vejle and Horsens are situated next to the Fjord and their old towns are full of art, architecture and history along with cosy restaurants and cafés.

The site is ideally situated to take day trips to  the local family attraction parks like well- known Legoland, the tropical Lalandia Aquadome, Wow Park with its tree top experience and the Givskud Safari Park and its magnificent lions.

Alternatively, immerse yourself in the digital  Viking experience “Royal Jelling”, that vividly brings to life the macabre history of the Vikings in this area alongside the 1000 year old burial mounds of two famous Viking Kings.

So many fun activities for all of the family are reachable from this central location and then there is the  peace and quiet of the campsite at the end of the day.

The level pitches are roomy and screened by bushes and trees, while the plentiful amenities are clean and well-maintained.

Excellent indoor kitchen facilities and a covered outdoor barbeque area make cooking easy, while a café is also available. The heated pool, playgrounds and go-kart track provide entertainment for all ages.

Friendly Danes

Campsite Manager was very welcoming and site set out well with great facilities, cooking and purpose built indoor cooking areas - well kept and clean. The weather was against us so didn't try the pool, but looked good for families. Well situated for Jelling - Viking Burial Mounds and Stones which... Show more

Good base for exploring Jutland

We had a warm welcome and a nice large quiet pitch screened by bushes trees with elec, water and waste on the pitch. Close to the large toilet block, but not aware of it from the pitch. Pitch was a sandy area in the grass. The toilet block also had... Show more

Great Danish site

This is a very big site but well run and organised. Great facilities for kids and very generously sized pitches. Plenty to do in the area including a great safari zoo, Jelling Viking history museum and Vjele.  There were plenty of families there but evenings and early mornings were blissfully... Show more
