Day 1 – Arrive at New Forest Centenary Club Campsite

Arrive at the campsite and meet your Tour Hosts and fellow members.

Day 2 – D-Day Museum and Southwick House

Your tour begins with a visit to the D-Day Museum in Portsmouth, the museum tells the story of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy. Possessions and words of those involved are used to tell the story in four parts. Followed by a visit to Southwick House, to view the map room where the plans for D-Day were coordinated.

Day 3 – Free day to enjoy at your leisure

You may like to enjoy your free day at leisure at the campsite which was originally part of a Second World War airfield. Parts of the original runway still exist and there is also a memorial to the New Forest Airfields just to the north of the caravan park, that you may like to visit. You may choose to explore the New Forest on a panoramic tour of the National Park’s D-Day sites including Lepe Beach, Beaulieu airfield and Brockenhurst.

Day 4 – Beaulieu Motor Museum & Exbury Gardens

In the morning, visit Beaulieu Motor Museum to see the Special Operations Executive Exhibition that tells the story of the training that took place at Lord Montague’s home in the New Forest. In the afternoon,  a visit to Exbury Gardens, an administrative HQ and training base for D-Day.

Day 5 - Free day at your leisure

Days 6 - 11: Arrive at Le Château de Martragny to British Normandy Memorial

Day 6 – Ferry crossing and arrival at Camping Château de Martragny

Set sail on your Brittany ferries crossing to France. Take a leisurely drive through the Normandy countryside and arrive at the campsite. Once on site there will be the opportunity to familiarise yourself with the campsite and enjoy a welcome meal at the campsite restaurant.

Day 7 –Museum of the Battle of Normandy and Sainte Mère Église

In the morning, visit the Museum of the Battle of Normandy located in the town of Bayeux. Your journey continues on to Sainte Mère Église to visit the Airborne Museum.

Day 8 – Free day at your leisure

You may like to visit Omaha and Utah beaches where the American V Corps and VII Corps landings occurred.

Day 9 –  British Sector and British Normandy Memorial

Today your D-Day Commemoration tour will take you on a full day coach excursion to Sword, Juno and Gold beaches where the British and Canadian landings took place. You will visit the British Normandy Memorial followed by a visit to Mulberry Harbour at Arromanches.

Day 10 – Free day to enjoy at your leisure

Enjoy your last day at your own leisure. End the day, and the tour, with a farewell meal at the campsite restaurant with your fellow tourers.

Day 11 – Depart the campsite 

Depart the campsite and head back on your ferry to the UK.
