Days 1: Arrival at Rudesheim am Rhein

Arrive at your campsite and settle in.

Day 2: Wine tasting and cable car ride

Walk into Rudesheim today and take the cable car over the town and its vineyards for a view from above. Then, later on, enjoy a trip around the vineyards on the Winegrower Express and indulge in a wine-tasting session to sample the local produce.

Day 3: River cruise and meal

Take a relaxing cruise along the river Rhein and take in the stunning scenery of the Rhein Valley with medieval castles and old villages along the way. Finish off the cruise with a lovely meal on board.

Day 4: Free time at your leisure

Why not head back into Rudesheim and visit one of its fascinating museums today?

Day 5: Arrival at Camping Wertheim

Leave Rudesheim today and travel to Camping Wertheim. Situated at the confluence of the rivers Taub and Main, this campsite enjoys a riverside location and close proximity to the picturesque town of Wertheim.

Uncover the history and architecture of Würzburg today - a city many consider to be the starting point of the Romantic Road. Set on the River Main and in the heart of one of Germany’s biggest wine-producing areas, enjoy a guided tour of this beautiful city.

Day 7: Free time at your leisure

A day to relax and do whatever you like. Why not walk up to the castle ruins?

Rothenburg is the quintessential Bavarian town, with its colourful buildings, cobbled streets and medieval architecture. Explore this charming town with a guided tour.

Day 9:  Arrival at Lech Camping

Continue on your journey to Lech Camping. A small, peaceful site on the outskirts of Augsburg with its own lake.

Day 10: An excursion to the Fuggerei

A stay in Augsburg would not be complete without a visit to the Fuggerei. A fascinating settlement dating back to medieval times and still in use today, this is the oldest social housing project in the world. Created by three families in 1516, representatives of these three families still manage the complex today.

Day 11: A day trip to Nördlingen

Visit this impressive medieval city which boasts Germany’s only completely preserved city wall. With a guided tour, learn all about this city’s intriguing history, walk along the city walls and learn about the ancient tradition of the Watchman’s cry. Lunch at a local restaurant is included on this trip.

Day 12: Enjoy a free day at your leisure

Day 13: Travel to Camping Via Claudia, Lechbruck

Leave Lech Camping today and travel to the alpine south. Settle in to your final campsite situated on the edge of Lake Lechsee and enjoy the stunning view.

Day 14: Schloss Hohenschwangau and Füssen

Today, visit one of Bavaria’s most iconic castles and its gardens. Hohenschwangau was the childhood residence of King Ludwig II of Bavaria. Visit the many ‘lived in’ rooms of this castle and admire the view from the gardens. Afterwards, enjoy some free time to explore. Why not take a carriage ride up to the neighbouring castle Neuschwanstein, the inspiration behind Disney’s ‘Sleeping Beauty’ castle? After lunch, head over to Füssen for a tour of its fascinating museum – home to some of the most intriguing exhibits from Baroque Bavaria.

Day 15: Free day at your own leisure

Take a day to relax at the campsite or continue your exploration of the area’s surroundings.

Day 16: AlpspiX lookout platform

Get a truly unique and breathtaking perspective with a trip to the AlpspiX observation deck near Garmisch-Partenkirchen. This amazing structure, extending 24 metres out from the cliff-face and situated above a 1000m vertical drop, allows for unrivalled views of the peaks of the Zugspitz region.

Day 17: Final day at your leisure

Enjoy your last day at your own pace and end the holiday with a farewell meal in the evening.

Day 18: Depart the campsite
