Andalucía to Marrakech Winter Holiday

21 night hosted holiday from Spain to Morocco

New for 2025! Andalucía to Marrakech Winter Holiday

21 night hosted holiday from £1,849 for two adults* departs 2 February 2025

With February temperatures around 20-25°C, Morocco makes for a perfect winter holiday destination, with sandy beaches and vast desert. It's an interesting mix of Arab, Berber, African and European cultures with very welcoming people. Le Relais de Marrakech, our campsite for 18 nights on our escorted winter holiday, makes the perfect base to explore this beautiful region at your leisure, knowing that your friendly hosts are on hand. And because Morocco is outside Europe, your stay doesn't count towards your Schengen visa-free days, making this the perfect way to add a few more weeks to your time in the winter sun.

Tour Highlights

Three full-day excursions have been organised, each including a meal, so that you can soak up the range of experiences this fantastic country has to offer.

Essaouira

Essaouira is a popular surfing resort, with ocher-coloured walls and a colourful medina. Immerse yourself in the historic port city's charm as you navigate its streets, with free time to explore bustling seafood markets, jewellery quarter, and lively souks. Enjoy a delicious lunch with the group at a local restaurant, then continue to explore before heading back to Marrakech.

Ourika Valley

Discover fruit orchards, vegetable terraces, and traditional hillside villages on a full-day escorted tour with an English speaking guide. Appreciate the hard work of the Berber people who built homes and worked terraces on these steep slopes in the Atlas mountains. Feel the refreshing spray of the waterfalls at Setti Fatma as you cool down from the heat, just like the locals of Marrakech who frequent this popular weekend spot.

Agafay Desert

The stunning red rock of the Agafay Desert is framed by the Atlas Mountains that separate the Mediterranean Sea in the north from the Sahara to the south. A camel ride is the perfect way to explore the scenery and is an experience you will always remember, riding a gentle camel across the desert and taking breathtaking photographs to share with your loved ones.

Important Insurance Information

Travel Insurance

It is always recommended to have appropriate travel insurance when going abroad and this is even more important when travelling to Morocco as it is outside the EU.
Check with your policy provider - the Club's Red Pennant Personal Travel Insurance policy covers travel to Morocco.

For health requirements check www.travelhealthpro.org.uk

Vehicle insurance

On entering Morocco, the border staff will ask you to prove that you are the registered owner of the vehicle and that you have a minimum 3rd party vehicle insurance cover in your name.

There are a limited number of UK insurance companies that will provide cover for Morocco so you should check with your own provider what cover you have. Those that do provide fully comprehensive cover may require motorhomes to be fitted with trackers.

Unfortunately the Club’s Motorhome and Campervan Insurance and Car Insurance policies do not currently offer cover for Morocco. The British Insurance Brokers' Association (BIBA) can provide more information to help you find the right insurance for your needs.

Please note if your vehicle is company owned or being driven by someone who is not the registered keeper, an authorisation letter is required.

We recommend checking this at least 2 months prior to travel to allow time for getting the correct documentation.

Motorhome, Campervan & Car insurance

  • Check with your own Insurer what cover is provided for Morocco
  • Take the original Certificate of Motor Insurance so that you can prove your cover status
  • Obtain an International Certificate of Insurance ('Green Card') from your insurer which provides proof of at least the minimum insurance cover required
  • Take your original V5C vehicle log book

Caravan Cover

Check with your own Insurer that Morocco is on their covered countries list.
The Club’s Caravan Cover can include Morocco but we will need to provide you with an endorsement to the Cover to confirm Morocco is covered. Please contact us to do this before travel.

Driving Licences

An International Driving Permit (version 1968) is required and can be purchased from select Paypoint outlets before you leave the UK.

Breakdown Cover

Check that cover is provided by your policy provider. The Club's Red Pennant Motoring policy covers Morocco. Our assistance teams will most likely be able to help with recovery but if this is not possible, policyholders may have to manage the process directly and submit a claim for the costs.
