Terms and Conditions

1. These general terms and conditions (these Terms) apply to the California Competition and Prize Draw 2019 (the Competition) and also include a description of how people can enter the Competition (the Rules). The Competition is undertaken and promoted by The Caravan Club Limited whose registered office is East Grinstead House, London Road, East Grinstead, West Sussex, RH19 1UA and whose company number is 00646027, trading as the Caravan and Motorhome Club (the Club).

Entries and Eligibility

2. To enter the prize draw, visit the Club’s website (camc.com/competitions) between 15 December 2019 and 23 February 2020 and complete the required fields in the online entry form.

3. There is no purchase necessary to enter the Competition and there is no fee payable for entering the prize draw or receiving the prizes. 

4. Entry to the Competition is limited to one per household. 

5. Competition is open to both CAMC Club members and non-members.  

6. All entrants to this Competition must be residents of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands, or the Republic of Ireland.

7. The Competition is not open to employees of the Club, members of their families, agents or any other person(s) or company connected in any way with the promotion or organisation of the Competition.

8. Entries containing false details will be invalid as will any entries that are made by automated means, or mechanically.

9. Entrants must be aged 21 years or over and have a full clean driving license.

10. The opening date for the Competition is 9am GMT on 15 December 2019.

11. The closing date for the Competition is 23.59pm GMT on 23 February 2020.

12. The prizes are not transferable and no cash alternative will be offered.

13. The Club will randomly select one winner based on the entries made within the eligible time frame. This selection shall be final; there is no right of appeal or discussion.

14. The winner will be contacted directly via email, telephone, post or Facebook by 28 February 2020 to claim their prize.

15. If the winner does not reply within 14 days of contact, or is unable to comply with these Terms, the Club reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant.  No correspondence relating to the Competition will be entered into.

16. The winner must be prepared to record their months' campervan rental in a blog format, further information will be provided once the winner has been contacted.  

The Rules

17. The winner must be able to store the vehicle in a safe location when not in use (e.g. a driveway or caravan or motorhome storage or on a site).  Any costs relating to storage will be the responsibility of the winner.

18. In no circumstances will the winner of the campervan be allowed to rent out or lend the vehicle to a third party. 

19. The Club reserves the right at any time to cancel or change the Prize Draw in any way if, at its sole discretion, circumstances arise beyond the Club’s control.

20. Any breach of these Terms will result in rejection of the entry or, if the Prize Draw has taken place, the entry will be void, as will any misrepresentations or fraudulent statements made in the course of entering the Competition.

24. Motoring insurance from the Club for one month

25. Free access and pitch booking fees to all available UK Club sites for two weeks

26. Free access and pitch booking fees to all available Club associated European sites for two weeks (or whole month in the UK if preferred)

30. £500 worth of fuel to help you make the most of the campervan. PumpKing email receipts must be submitted to the Club to gain a refund on fuel of up to £500

Data Protection

34. By entering the Competition you agree that your personal details may be stored and otherwise processed by the Club for the purposes of administering the Competition. 

35. In the event of being selected as the winner, you agree that your name and a photograph of you can be used for publicity, including publication of the winner’s name in the Caravan and Motorhome Club members’ magazine and on our website. 

36. By entering and consenting to receiving information from our partner NCCE, you also agree that your personal details may be securely shared with the chosen partners for them to use and provide you with information about products via their digital newsletter. When receiving your personal details they will then become the data controller.

37. If you would like to withdraw your consent of receiving information from the Caravan and Motorhome Club and/or our partner (NCCE) you can opt-out by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the digital newsletters.  

38. The Caravan and Motorhome Club will not be liable for entries lost or damaged (proof of submission is not proof of receipt by The Caravan Club).

39. Except for any liability arising in relation to death or personal injury resulting from the negligence of The Caravan and Motorhome Club or its employees, the Caravan and Motorhome Club shall have no liability in respect of any loss, harm or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to direct, indirect and consequential loss) arising in connection with this or any prize draw to any person who has made or wished to make an entry into the competition or any third party.

40. In the event that a prize is supplied by a third party and the prize is withdrawn following the draw, the Caravan and Motorhome Club shall not offer any alternative prize or compensation in respect of the lost prize or any indirect or consequential losses.

42. Entry into the competition implies acceptance of these terms and conditions as final and binding.
