UK and European Tours

Tourers can experience excellent escorted tours around the UK and Europe with the Caravan and Motorhome Club in 2024

From exploring historic buildings, gorgeous gardens and beaches, incredible views, wine tasting, continental driving to enjoying museum and scenic tours, there is plenty to experience across the UK and Europe with the Caravan and Motorhome Club in 2024. The Club will host an ample of escorted tours for the remainder of the year, some successfully returning from 2023 and others debuting for the first time.

Spaces are available on some of the UK and Europe tours. The tours feature a wide range of activities and itineraries cater for all ages with core themes of culture, history and landscapes. The duration of the tours run between four to 20 days, the escorted tours are accompanied by experienced and knowledgeable tour hosts, encouraging tourers to mix with like-minded club members.

UK Tours

The Treasures of Scotland Escorted Tour will take place in September 2024 for 20 nights across four campsites. This trip includes a Loch Ness Cruise including Urquhart Castle, a trip on a Paddle Steamer, a Guided Tour of Glasgow along with a visit to Mackintosh at the Willow with afternoon tea, a Scotch Whisky experience and more. The tour departs on 3 September 2024, prices from £3,399 for an outfit plus two adults.

The Flowers & Gardens Escorted Tour takes place in September 2024 for four nights. Tourers will stay in Alderstead Heath Club Campsite during the tour, and will enjoy a day in RHS Garden, Wisley, a best-loved garden and a hub of horticultural excellence. Tourers will also get to visit Kew Gardens, home to over 40,000 living plants. The tour departs on 2 and 6 September 2024, prices from £499 for an outfit plus two adults.

Edinburgh Military Tattoo Escorted Tour is a four-night caravan and motorhome holiday where tourers will get to explore the Old Town and walk up from the Royal Mile to Edinburgh Castle. Tourers will hear the sound of the massed pipes and drums during the annual series from the world-renowned Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, performed by British Armed Forces, Commonwealth and international military bands. The tour departs on either 5 or 19 August 2024, prices from £999 for an outfit plus two adults.

Yorkshire and Kynren Escorted Tour is an eight-night tour that starts in York with a guided tour of the city. In the following days, tourers will visit the Bowes Museum and Castle Howard, the North York Moors Railway and the Wensleydale Creamery – known for its signature cheese. Towards the end of the trip, tourers will attend a blockbuster ‘epic tale of England’ open-air performance featuring rebellions, magic, wars and celebration. The tour departs on 31 August, prices from £1,459 for an outfit plus two adults.

All UK tours include excursion and tickets to local attractions, pitches at UK Club campsites and transport to and from all excursions.

European Tours

D-Day Commemoration Escorted Tour is a nine-day tour to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day Landings on 6 June 1944. The tour starts in Hampshire, with a visit to the D-Day Story museum and sites involved in the operations of the D-Day Landings. The journey then continues to Normandy, with five nights at Le Château de Martragny, well situated to visit the D-Day Landing beaches and sites dedicated to the Battle of Normandy. There is still availability for this holiday departing on 1 July, prices from £2,349 for an outfit and 2 people. The return ferry is included in the price.

First Time Normandy Escorted Tour is a 11 night tour that includes two nights at Rookesbury Park Club Campsite in Hampshire and continental driving at Fontwell Park Racecourse. After this, tourers sail off to France to continue the tour, which includes nine nights at Camping Port’land, a visit to the British and Canadian sectors and the Airborne Museum, an all-day excursion to Sword, Juno and Gold beaches, and sampling some of Normandy’s finest specialities at a local producer. There is still availability for this holiday departing on 9 September, prices from £2,999 for an outfit plus two people. The return ferry is included in the price.

Wines of the Loire Escorted Tour is a 16-night tour that brings tourers on an oenological adventure in the Loire, one of the most visited areas in France. Tourers will be based at the peaceful I’lsle Verte Campsite, set on the banks of the river with lovely views and direct cycle paths along the Loire. The tour includes visiting many different wine-cellars and estates such as the Troglodyte wine cellars of the Loire, Châteaux visits, grape picking, visiting the Royal Fortress of Chinon and more. There is still availability for this holiday departing on 7 September, prices from £3,199 for an outfit plus two people.
