The Caravan and Motorhome Club welcomes GSC LGV Driver Training in Nottinghamshire to it’s training network

The Caravan and Motorhome Club is delighted to welcome GSG LGV Driver Training in Nottinghamshire to its now 19-strong nationwide leisure vehicle training centre network.
GSC LGV Driver Training, located on the outskirts of Nottingham, will be offering Caravan Manoeuvring, Practical Caravan and Motorhome Manoeuvring courses from 16 September 2023. Course attendees will be able to gain confidence and perfect their manoeuvring skills with expert trainers - these courses represent great value for money and give peace of mind.
The Club wants to make sure that whether you’re new to touring or a seasoned professional, you feel comfortable driving your outfit safely before you head out on your adventures. The caravan towing and motorhome manoeuvring courses are suitable for all levels of experience. Courses are suitable for anyone who wants to improve their towing and manoeuvring, not just leisure vehicle owners, these courses are also ideal for people such as horsebox drivers and those who tow boats or trailers. Course participants have flexibility on where to learn or refresh their skills before setting off on their touring adventures at home or abroad.
Nearly 80% of course participants score the courses 9 out of 10 or higher.
The Club has over 40 years of experience running these courses which over 56,000 people have attended. Operating at 19 locations across the UK, each course is led by friendly, expert trainers with first-hand experience, who are Club members and well-seasoned tourers themselves.
The training courses are split into: Practical Caravanning; Caravan Manoeuvring; and Motorhome Manoeuvring. The Caravan and Motorhome manoeuvring courses both take a full day, whilst the Practical Caravan Manoeuvring course, for people who are completely new to caravanning, is split over 1.5 days.
Sessions include:
- Manoeuvring advice
- Hitching and towing safely
- Straightforward safety checks
- Understanding the laws that affect caravanning and motorhoming
- Reversing and driving skills
- Understanding loading and how it affects towing
The courses are priced as follows:
- Practical Caravanning Course - £204.00
- Caravan Manoeuvring Course - £174.00
- Motorhome Manoeuvring Course - £204.00
