Tourers can experience 14 incredible escorted tours around the UK with the Caravan and Motorhome Club in 2024

From exploring historic buildings, traditions and Royal Palaces, hiking moors, dales and national gardens to enjoying shows and scenic tours there is plenty to experience across the UK with the Caravan and Motorhome Club in 2024. The Club will debut 11 new escorted tours this year and plans to run three returning tours, successfully piloted in 2023.

The escorted UK tours, exclusive to Club members, feature plenty of enjoyable activities and set itineraries catered to all ages and with key interests at their heart from culture, history and landscapes to outdoor shows and family fun, all from £499 for an outfit and two adults. The duration of the tours run between four to 12 days, with the exception of the 20-day, Treasures of Scotland Tour. Tourers can make their trip with their caravan, motorhome or campervan while being accompanied by experienced tour hosts and like-minded club members.

After a successful first year of introducing UK tours, the Club is excited to share its new short and long tours for 2024. 

Longer regional tours (between 12-20 nights)

Scenic North Wales Tour

The Scenic North Wales tour will take place in May 2024 for 12-nights, staying at Coed-Llwyn Club Campsite and Penrhos Club Campsite. Tourers will get to immerse themselves in a whole range of activities including a day trip to Puffin Island, the historic Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens, journey the heritage Llanberis Lake Railway, a trip to Portmeirion Village, and the chance to take part in a Llangollen Horse Drawn Boat Trip. Tourers will also get three days to explore the regions by themselves. The tour departs on 13 May 2024, prices from £1,589 for an outfit plus two adults.

Treasures of Scotland Tour

The Treasures of Scotland tour will take place in September 2024 for 20 nights across four campsites. The longest of the UK tours, will offer tourers the chance to take part in many activities and explore the great Scottish outdoors, offering amazing views. This trip includes a Loch Ness Cruise including Urquhart Castle, a chance to visit Mull, Iona and Staffa with the Three Isles Tour, a trip on a Paddle Steamer, a Guided Tour of Glasgow along with a visit to Mackintosh at the Willow with afternoon tea, an option of visiting the National Kiltmaker experience  and a Scotch Whiskey experience and more. Tourers will get some free time and travel days to explore the country on their own too. The tour departs on 3 September 2024, prices from £3,399 for an outfit plus two adults.

Short Tours – (between 3-5 nights)

Flowers & Gardens RHS Wisley Tour

The Flowers & Gardens RHS Wisley tour takes place in September 2024 for four nights. Tourers will stay in Alderstead Heath Club Campsite during the period of the trip, and will enjoy a day in RHS Garden, Wisley, a best-loved garden that was first given to the RHS in 1903 and is now a hub of horticultural excellence and a top visitor attraction. Tourers will also get to visit Kew Gardens, another beautiful botanical paradise, home to over 40,000 living plants. Prices from £499 for an outfit plus two adults.

Christmas in London, Lights, Cruise & Fun Tour

The Christmas in London, Lights, Cruise & Fun, five-night tour will take place in December. Tourers will stay in Wyatts Covert Club Campsite in Uxbridge and have the chance to visit Windsor Castle, a festive afternoon tea cruise along the River Thames and will experience Christmas at Kew Gardens. Tourers will also get a free day to explore the capital to see the lights and do a spot of Christmas shopping. Prices from £679 for an outfit plus two adults.

Edinburgh Military Tattoo Escorted Tour

The Edinburgh Military Tattoo tour is a four-night caravan and motorhome holiday where tourers will get to see Edinburgh’s enchanting history by exploring the Old Town and walking up from the Royal Mile to Edinburgh Castle. Tourers can catch a glimpse of royalty as they hear the distinctive sound of the massed pipes and drums during the annual series from the world renowned Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, performed by British Armed Forces, Commonwealth and international military bands. The tour departs on either 5 or 19 August 2024, prices from £999 for an outfit plus two adults.

Yorkshire and Kynren Escorted Tour

The eight-night, Yorkshire and Kyren tour starts in York with a guided tour of the city to marvel at the cathedral and learn about the Viking heritage of the city. Tourers will visit the contrasting castles of Barnard Castle and Castle Howard – the latter is the setting for the TV series Brideshead Revisited and Bridgerton. Tourers will also travel through the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales, passing some beautiful scenery, while visiting the North York Moors Railway and the Wensleydale Creamery – known for its signature cheese. To end the trip on a high, tourers will attend the Kynren show, a blockbuster ‘epic tale of England’ open-air performance featuring rebellions, magic, wars and celebration - all set to music, special effects and pyrotechnic displays. The tour departs on 31 August, prices from £1,459 for an outfit plus two adults.

Royal Palaces and Historic Buildings Escorted Tour

The Royal Palaces and Historic Buildings tour is a nine-night caravan and motorhome holiday. Starting in the heart of London, tourers will visit The Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace and the iconic Tower of London. Guests will first stay at Abbey Wood Club Campsite and later move onto Henley Four Oaks Club Campsite where they will enjoy a day trip to Oxford before visiting Blenheim Palace and ending with a cruise on the River Thames. The tour departs on 13 June, prices from £1,649 for an outfit plus two adults.
