One of the most impressively located sites on the network, Tewkesbury Abbey Club Campsite is only a short walk from the charming old town of Tewkesbury. In fact, it's almost in the shadow of the ancient Abbey from which it takes its name. With superb mature trees screening the caravan park, you and your family will feel tucked away in a quiet dream of days gone by.

Tewkesbury Abbey Club Campsite makes it conveniently easy to explore the nostalgic delights of the old town on foot - there are many historic buildings, and interesting walks to be had, as well as some excellent museums. On Wednesdays and Saturdays you can track down the odd bargain or two at the local market, or if history is more your bag you can walk the Battle Trail commemorating the famous Wars of the Roses (1471). The caravan site also offers opportunity for the romantic - take a boat cruise on the peaceful river to experience the beautiful Avon landscapes. Other places not to be missed are the Cotswold villages of Broadway, Winchcombe and Moreton-in-Marsh. There are good transport links to Cheltenham, Gloucester and Worcester and a little further afield, the Malvern Hills and Forest of Dean offer great walking opportunities. The site also makes an ideal stopover if you're heading towards the south west of the country.

We look forward to welcoming you in the new enlarged and improved reception area. We have also constructed a brand new amenity block with modern bathroom and shower facilities with family bathroom. There are 50 new all-weather pitches of which 18 are fully serviced, new motorhome waste and service points, landscaping on site and other site wide improvements.

Please note: this Club campsite is situated near the River Severn and the River Swilgate tributary. Following periods of prolonged and heavy rainfall, river levels may rise causing the tributary to occasionally breach. The access road to site can then become inaccessible and the site might be affected by flooding during these events. To check river levels please see River Severn at Mythe Bridge and for the most up to date information on site status in wet weather, please call the site team on 01684 294035.

*Book any pitch, at any UK Club campsite for any date and duration with only a £5 fully refundable deposit plus FREE cancellations and FREE amendments up to 21 days before arrival. Applies to any non-promotional booking.

Practically in the town centre

Tewkesbury Abbey Club Campsite
Really spotless site and facilities. Beautiful flowers by reception. I did drive around a few times before finding my pitch even though reception staff had advised the map was a bit misleading - it may have been easier if there was another pair of eyes (I camped by myself). Despite the site being quite busy the facilities were never cramped and it was really quiet at night. Fantastic to be able to walk into town within a few minutes. Sadly missed the river trips as they aren’t available Mon and Tues at this time of year. Amazing to hear peregrines in the sunny evening, apparently they had nested on the Abbey.

Best site I’ve stayed on

Tewkesbury Abbey Club Campsite
This has been the best site that I’ve stayed on this year. Booked for one night but stayed for three. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. There were easy walks to do from the campsite and the shops were just a couple of minutes from the site. The Abbey was just next door so a lot of history to digest all in all a wonderful pace to stay I will definitely be going back there.

Excellent stop over site - wished we'd have stayed longer!

Tewkesbury Abbey Club Campsite
Stayed here many times in the past but not since their refurb. Great welcome, lovely wardens and such a pretty, clean and tidy site. Loving the new hardstandings, large and clean. New shower/toilet block and it's 5*. Bins & recycling near entrance and plenty of water points around the site. We stayed with friends (their first time) and they loved it too. Easy walk into town and lots to see and do in and around Tewkesbury. Sadly we only had one night on our way up to Snowdonia but we will definitely be back. Not cheap but you know what you get with the CAMC.

We will be back!

Tewkesbury Abbey Club Campsite
Our first visit here, but what a great site! The location within 5 minutes walk of the town is unequalled and there are riverside walks very nearby. All of the facilities are raised well above the ground due to the frequent floods and the electricity posts are really tall too giving the whole site a very different "feel!" The facilities block is very modern and well maintained and the whole site is well cared for. In the evening Tewkesbury Abbey Church is illuminated and looks over the site; in the daytime it welcomes all visitors, so open- minded even our dog was allowed to go around inside the magnificent building with us. A good cafe too. Lots of very old buildings and interesting shops in the town, plenty of pubs, bars and restaurants too if you wish to use them.

Great location and facilities

Tewkesbury Abbey Club Campsite
The site is flat, well-maintained, and laid out. It's easy to get around and to access the MoHo Service Point - which is very good. The showers, toilets, washing up and cassette waste facilities are centrally located and only a short walk from any pitch. They are very clean and spacious. Hairdryers provided. Good accessible facilities too. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The reception has an info room with bus timetables and local attractions. There are a few essential items on sale in the Reception Area. Check in and out was easy. Location is perfect for Tewkesbury town. The site is a stone's throw from the Abbey and from there to the town centre which has all the shops, cafes and restaurants you might want. The Abbey is small but very lovely. The Abbey bells are beautiful (extended peals twice on Sundays :o))) but not too early. No gripes with the CAMC set up or staff but I do wish some guests would switch off their engines while checking in instead of letting them idle! It's not necessary and if you're on pitches 5,6 etc as we were, it could get pretty unpleasant. There is a planet to save!
