Tiredness kills...

... so all the motorway signs say. However, if you try to stop with a caravan, there is often nowhere to park.  Sometimes there may be a caravan parking area, but it is usually occupied by white van man and, in one recent case, an artic whose driver became very aggressive when it was suggested he shouldn't be there.  Coach parking areas are protected by the service area operators, but not the caravan ones.

So you have to park among the lorries, if there is room. However, I'm not keen on that as we once had the front ripped off our car by a lorry driver who was asleep when we arrived and didn't realise we were there when he set off.

There is, it seems to me, a need for the Club to campaign to get caravan parking areas properly instituted and managed on ALL service areas.  In the meantime, it woud be an idea for CT to share information on which service areas have decent caravan parking.
