A Short Break on Bodmin Moor, Cornwall

This story happened on: 23/09/2014

We spent a wonderful short break at Hendrifton Farm CL, Common Moor, Liskeard on Bodmin Moor - a short distance from The Hurlers and The Cheesewring - not forgetting Sibleyback Reservoir on the doorstep.  We enjoyed a superb Sunday Carvery at the Cheesewring Hotel and the Crow's Nest pub is well worth a visit for its atmosphere alone.

We had planned our break to watch the Last Night of the Proms at Sterts Theatre, Upton Cross - a bonus indeed - and such a short drive back to Hendrifton Farm.

But the best thing about this break was the CL itself with a first-class shower and toilet block and the owners Gareth and Melanie who made us so welcome. We went twice last year and as we went on to the site, it felt as if we were coming home.
