June in the Dordogne

Agree. It takes a couple of long days to get to the Dordoge or Lot region (we stop off in the Loire valley) but well worth the drive. Some stunning scenery. Glad you enjoyed.

went august last year it was stunning stayed near sarlat which again was stunning only downside was temperature 45 degees

A word of warning for those with large outfits visiting this site. If you are offered a pitch in the 1-32 area, please walk to the pitch to assure yourself that you can get your outfit through a narrow access  point. We and many others had great difficulty and scratched our rear corners in a tattered laurel hedge. The access point is narrow and you are required to turn left at an angle greater than 90 degrees. The hedge could and should be removed but the site operators choose not to. They are well aware of the damage and repeatedly say nobody else has reported it. Well I have, and ask to make it a formal complaint, "sorry no process" was the response. Should there ever be an evacuation, this is the only way out for all 32 pitches. Be aware if the river is high!

Whilst checking your pitch please note they are almost entirely under trees, when it rains they drip incessantly and the sun doesn't shine much either.
