Friendly Wardens make all the difference
This story happened on: 30/06/2012
I have just spent the best part of a week at Rosedale Abbey. I have never been there before and as so many letters are complaints, I decided to make an exception! As a lone traveller, friendly wardens are of vital importance. So many people find things to complain about I am going to do the opposite.
Linda and Phil Martlew could not have been more friendly and helpful. The site, despite the rain, is kept immaculate and they work hard to make one's stay enjoyable. Why is it that some folks will always find something to complain about?
I am about to return to Notgrove to join the "booze gang," where I shall find another marvellous pair of wardens. Bren and Mike are two of the best. I have come across some "jobsworths" over the years and those who will help if needed, to a point. But these two couples will go the extra mile. Many thanks from a loner.
