club pitches

This story happened on: 28/07/2013

Me and my better half (the boss) have just had 3 great weeks away in the caravan 1 week at methop fell at grange-over-sands and blackpool south both sites were good  but there was a lot of upset at both sites .I refer here to the blue peg pitches I read about it in the magazine but it did not tell you they were going to take a lot of pitches out of use for awnings this is called a family club ,families need awnings the people we talked to were very upset about this  as all pitches cost the same . your going to lose a lot of members over the coming season/s ,at methop the space at pitch 43 was 10 metres fom caravan to caravan and 6 fom awning to cars but they still put blue pegs in there was no consistance at all some pitches were smaller but had white pegs . I don,t blame the wardens at all they take a lot flack only doing what they are told to do it,s the bosses at head office it looks like they want to put the club into adminitation ?.  I know all about health and safety but lets have some common sence ,here,s hoping we have a review of this situation or how about £2-00 a night off a non awning pitch.!!!

We have recently returned from both the Castelton and Henley on Thames sites and both have suffered from the dreaded blue Peg (especially Castleton site) I can appreciate the need for health and safety and to have sufficient distance between vans but it seems inconsistent between hard standing pitches. The club really needs to do more to publicise blue pegs. At present when you look at a site on the website there is no indication of how many pitches are aowning or non awning and whbluet he blue pegs are situated.

Can the club please do something about this problem as a matter of urgency.

in reply to the member who sugests that non awning pitches should be cheaper, I think that ALL pitches should be cheaper as the CC has got extremely expensive and I for one will not be renewing my membership in 2014. Commercial sites are a great deal cheaper !!!!!!!
