Task 72: Milk a cow

When we saw this challenge listed in the intial 75 challenges set by Elddis and The Caravan Club we thought it was a fun idea, and one we were really keen to do.

16 Weeks later we are scratching our heads a little.

You see, many small dairy farmers have now gone out of business (largely thanks to the big supermarkets), and many children's farms either have stopped offer this activity or never did offer it in the first place.

As we have travelled around the country we have asked warden after warden for help with this and they have all been very helpful in terms of suggesting farms to contact, or saying they knew a local farmer that could help us out.

However, due to the above reasons (and not through lack of trying) we have been really struggling.

So... we had to use artistic licence and be a little bit (OK, VERY) creative.

But, we are happy to say that the task of Milk a Cow has been successfully completed. We have even managed to milk a cow inside a caravan. Result! Or should I say 'udderly' brilliant!

Now we shall mooove onto our next challenge :)
