Feeding wild birds from your hand is a little unnerving at first, but after a little while you soon relax when you realise they are actually more scared of you than you are of them 
At the Chatsworth Park site there are loads of really tame birds to feed, including: ducks and ducklings (in Spring), crows, pigeons, finches, sparrows and even a resident pheasant.
Give it a try the next time you're out and about.
