Challenge 32 - Grow your own caravan kitchen indoor herb garden.

There isn’t a lot of room inside a caravan as we have discovered and very little surface space as it is, let alone to grow plants so we decided to keep this challenge simple.

One of my favourite herbs is basil so in order to grow my own I bought a small kit from a garden centre, followed the instructions and watched it grow over a few weeks, until it was ready to eat.

The girls also like basil but wanted their own herb project. A quick and easy solution was to grow cress since it is a much faster-growing herb. To add a bit of fun we decided to make cress heads using eggshells as the head and cress as the hair. The girls enjoyed decorating the shells and naming them. Once the cress had grown it was time for Egmund, Sofia, Daisy, Elsa, Kristoff and Anna to have haircuts. The cress was added to our sandwiches for lunch – tasty herby treat.
