#XploreMore 2014 - Site 13 - Rosedale, North Yorkshire

This story happened on: 07/08/2014

Rosedale is a delightfully simple site that sits as a long strip of flat, well manicured grass on the bank of the River Seven. The Wardens are lovely - nice and friendly and helpful ... oh, and nice and relaxed too :)

We had a lovely few days at Rosedale: it's a great base for trips out onto the Moors, or down to the coast for a day at the beach. Sands End just to the north of Whitby is a fantasic location: clean beach, not too busy, and dog friendly towards its northern end (where all the interesting fossilling is to be found too).

Amy and Ella made some nice friends at the site, and enjoyed playing with them whenever they could. They even got them involved with one or two of the 100 Challenges we have to complete.

All in all, a lovely site, and a happy stay :)

Notes:
There's no toilet block, so be prepared to use your own loo (or the pub opposite)

The pub directly opposite the site is very nice. Nice and friendly, lovely food and real ale.

There's no wifi and very little in the way of phone signal - enjoy a digital-free few days (if you can manage!)
