#XploreMore 2014 - Site 11 - Lidalia (Scottish Borders)

This story happened on: 30/07/2014

"Oor warst wurd is - Welcome, an' welcome again".

This quote was what greeted us when we first drove through the entrance of the Caravan Club afflicated site Lidalia and it couldn't be truer. As we realised when we walked into the small office used as a reception, the owner here is lovely like the many other townspeople of Newcastleton.

The 30 pitched site is located just over the Scottish border and surrounded by forests, hills and many a fun activity to do in the village. The facilities are superb and as clean as can be. The site is also brimming with wildlife - while we were strolling up the short lane leading to the site we saw a red squirrel, a rabbit and two herons flying over head not to mention the pond in the centre of the site.

Unfortunately, our stay is ending today but we will definitely recommend this site to anyone who will be in this area.
