Recommendation to visit market at Benlloch

This story happened on: 23/03/2016

The day after we arrived at Ribamar was a bank holiday therefore very little was open but the site manager at Ribamar recommended we go to a nearby village where they were celebrating St Joseph's Day (Spanish Father's Day). The village was called Benlloch and was about a 20 minute drive away.

Here's what Ella had to say about it.
We parked down a side street and as we began to walk away from the motorhome down the deserted streets we could hear music that directed us to the village centre. There were lots of stalls lining the streets. We tried cheeses and wines (not me and Amy though) and tasted some delicious sweet pastries. The big white tent in the centre of the market was bustling with people buying bottles of wine, cheese, chorizo and bread; they were drinking and eating them before going back to top up again. Music was blasting out of the speakers and people were laughing and talking so loudly you could hardly hear your own voice! They were all here because it was a bank holiday. Over Saturday and Sunday lots of local vendors were promoting and selling their merchandise, all artesan produce made using ingredients from the countryside. It was a real cultural experience and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

I think her video captures it well!
