NEC temporary caravan site

This story happened on: 03/11/2014

Whilst visiting the Motorhome and Caravan show at the Birmingham NEC show we stayed on the temporary Caravan Club site; this provided easy and quick access to the show - a short 10 minute walk or 2 minute shuttle ride.

As a converted car-park, it wasn't our most preferred location, in fact we weren't particularly looking forward to it, having just come from the impressive looking Buxton Caravan Site. Saying that, we were pleasantly surprised with how quickly we got used to it and the convenience it gave us. We were one of about 450 other caravans in the car park and although there wasn't the usual impressive Caravan Club toilet facilities there was a toilet block. The large marquee provided food stalls serving breafkast and evening meals and a bar. Each night a couple of acts performed on the stage, providing an eclectic mix of musical entertainment. Whilst this wasn't our cup of tea, it was always well attended and was a good standard.

To us, the caravan is a base from which to explore. We have stayed in a variety of different sites in our short caravanning career and would recommend the NEC temporary caravan site because the Motorhome and Caravan show is on your doorstep so if visiting the show for more than one day, it is ideal.
