First trip with the motorhome

This story happened on: 27/06/2012

We were a bit apprehensive as we were setting off on our travels for the first time since buying our new motorhome. We booked the sites from the caravan club book so we new what we were going to.The first one was in the lake district in Ambleside called  Skelwithfold. We were truly amazed at how clean and tidy the whole site was   from the showers to the pitch areas a truly beautiful sight.

We also stayed at Poolsbrook country park just off the m1 in the chesterfield area. This site was on our way home to Yorkshire so it was a good stop off for us. Again this site was truly spotless and the wardens were very helpfully. Altogether we were away for 1 month and we got the hang of the motorhome and life on the road.We can't wait now for Our next trip to abbey woods caravan site where we aim to use it as a base to visit the sights of London before heading off to France and italy. The real journey begins as we are going touring for 2 months!!!!!!!!
