Day One: Scottish Caravan Tour

This story happened on: 03/02/2013

I’m at the end of the first day of my wildlife tour of the South West of Scotland. I’m back in my Green Goddess Bailey Orion on Catrine House Certificated Location, Mauchline.

The five day tour will culminate with me opening The Scottish Caravan Motorhome & Holiday Home Show at the SECC on Thursday, which I’m very much looking forward to.

I arrived late this afternoon, after a late night talk in Dorking, and on this occasion was pleased that my Green Goddess was here waiting for me.

It has been overcast here today but there was still enough daylight for me to get out for an hour or so. I didn’t see much tonight but have some hot tips for the morning. I’ll keep you posted.

I like to feel as close to the wild world as possible and that’s where the caravan comes in. Tonight I’m so close to the river Ayr I can hear it from my home-from-home. From my warm base I can eat well, download my pictures and sleep. More tomorrow.

I'm planning a Scottish trip next month and was interested in the CL sites you stay at but can't find them on the CL sites listed online?
