That's a good honest account of the ups and downs of getting into caravanning. Hope you'll find that the CC sites won't let you down and you'll find plenty more to enjoy on your travels. The description of the route to Brora is so true, it's a beautiful
area, I haven't stayed there but have often gone past on journeys further north. Good luck with your van in 2014!

What a great story, really brought a smile to my face. Am glad you have enjoyed your experience so much and long may it continue. Happy caravanning and do report back on your adventures in 2014. Natasha
Awww Thanks Natasha, Everytime I talk about my caravan and the journeys I have a big smile on my face and already we have booked for 2 sites this year so will come back with more stories xx

Thanks Brue, The only way to learn is by having these up and downs and to be honest its what makes the experience better. I dont think I want to venture from the CC sites as I know what to expect from each one so shouldnt be an issue but time will tell lol. Brue seriously if you drive past Brora the next time on your travels even if just to go in for a look, it will be a good stopover for you next part further north. Thank you hopefully 2014 will be a great year and we are now talking about taking the next step up and getting a newer van either later this year or early next year. I hope you have a great time with your van :-)

Hi just read your story and it sounds so familiar. We took up caravaning only 5 years ago, we thought it would be a great way to save some money as we were saving for our Wedding. We started off with a 1989 Cotswold Windrush for a couple of hundred pounds
and we absolutely loved her and even had her right down to Devon. We are now on our 4th caravan and have never looked back we just love It and can't wait till this years touring starts. Last trip was December but weather now holding us upOur
favourite local sites are also Craigie Gardens and Edinburgh. Have a great 2014 touring and we might see you on site somewhere
