motor caravanners beware!!
This story happened on: 02/07/2012
after a visit to cirencester this weekend 1/7/12 i have now packed another piece of essential kit, after attempting to move off my grass pitch on sunday morning i found my wheels spinning so gave up immediately and approached a warden on his tractor to ask if he could offer any help/advice,(i had already fixed a rope to my vehicle to attach to a tow ball),he gave a rather blunt reply stating that since they (whoever that is ) had taken over the running of the club that wardens are no longer allowed to tow off motorhomes and to phone the a.a or rac to come and assist,he also said that (they) didn't even like the wardens to move caravans which suggests to me some kind of impartiality.4 pitches up from me was a grass pitch which had been completely destroyed by a motorhome trying in earnest to get off,i doubt the pitch would be usable for at least a week, the warden said that he couldn't care less what damage was done to the pitch rules are rules! so from now on in my roof box are a fork and spade to dig myself out.
