Post It from Los Alcazares, Murcia, Spain Saturday 20th April 2013.

This story happened on: 21/04/2013

After a good night’s sleep we left Puçol and went through the centre of Valencia City on our way south to Murcia. We only had a relatively short journey for our final day and arrived at the Mar Menor in time for a baguette & pate for lunch. The day had started off bright and sunny but became overcast as we drove south.

We settled in at our friend’s house on our own as they were away at a wedding in their home city of Murcia. At last we had arrived after seven days of travelling. It had been a completely new experience for us and one which we shall hopefully not repeat in travelling so far in consecutive days. We had travelled 1456 miles from home and only paid two tolls, one to bypass Boulogne costing 1 euro and one to bypass Torrevieja costing 4 euros. Had we have travelled all the way on motorways and paid the tolls it would have been around 280 euros so I was pleased with that. Next time we would use the toll to bypass Tours as well. We could at least start to enjoy our holiday now and catch up with friends we had not seen for six months. The return journey would be very different, but that was some five weeks away and a distant thought at the moment.

Again sorry for no photos.
