The Motorhome, Caravan and Camping Show

This story happened on: 28/02/2012

I was lucky enough to spend six days at The Motorhome, Caravan and Camping show at London Excel this February. Much of my time at the show was spent talking to members and telling them more about Club Together, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I also spent some time every day having a look around the show - there really was so much to see and do!

Below are some of my top show highlights:

Club Together Launch and Meeting Members

Throughout the show we had demonstrations on how to use Club Together. The team really enjoyed meeting members of The Caravan Club and talking to them about how they can get involved. Everyone was really friendly and very enthusiastic about Club Together and I’m looking forward to seeing some of the people I met online.

Club Day

Club Day happened to fall on the 14th February, which of course is Valentine’s Day. We therefore had a romantic theme that included Vincent and Flavia from Strictly Come Dancing doing the Tango. Members Mick Brennan and Michelle Harris also stopped off to visit the show on their way to their wedding. Vincent and Flavia’s performance was excellent and it was great to see Mick, Michelle and their guests in their wedding outfits. What a great start to the show!

Caravan Towing Taster Sessions and Motorhome Manoeuvring Lesson

These proved to be very popular and are such an excellent idea. The free 20 minute taster sessions gave one-to-one expert tuition from qualified Caravan Club instructors. The taster sessions were open to everyone, whether they were new to touring or experienced tourers, offering useful advice and enabling people to brush up on their skills of towing a caravan, or driving a motorhome, safely.

Motorhomes, Caravans and Trailer Tents

I was so very impressed with all the makes and models at the show. There really was so much to see and it was incredible to view them all in one place. These shows are a must for anyone considering buying a motorhome, caravan or trailer tent as it’s a great way to find out what’s available.

Were you at the show? If so let me know what your highlights were. Or are you planning to go to any other shows this year?

My highlight was definately Vincent and Flavia, Rowena. To be sooo close and see every step and flick was fantastic. Really made my day (and meeting you all of course)
