With one of the largest collections of steam and vintage equipment on display, including a steam driven funfair complete with old carousels, swingboats and traditional Can-Can dancers, visitors can get a glimpse into how people lived, worked and played in bygone years. As well as the spectacular steam displays there are also country crafts and memorabilia collections on show, over 500 trade stands to explore and five entertainment pavilions, each with its own programme of live music.

  • The Bull Inn, Wimborne St Giles

The Bull Inn in the local village of Wimborne St Giles has received some great reviews on Trip Advisor. If you're staying on site it's a great place to visit to enjoying either an evening or lunchtime meal or to just pop in for a quick drink.

Whatever your reasons for staying on our temporary site we are sure you won't be disappointed. Let me know if you have ever been to any of the attractions mentioned or any other attractions in the area and what your recommendations would be for people to see and do.

Think its a little steep at £30 a night, especially with no toilet block, Think l will stay nearer home and get the site fee's for a tenner less a night, not sure what others think maybe they will be willing to pay that sort of price.

Hello Nigel, We have listened to members feedback and as a result we have reduced the price from £30 a night to £20 per night. This includes electric hook up and there's no per person fee. I hope this helps members enjoy Dorset and all the attractions and events taking place this summer. Happy

Wimborne St Giles is a very pretty village, I'm glad the nightly fee has been dropped to £20. The area is so close to the New Forest, Poole and Bournemouth it's worth seeing, we like nearby Cranborne, lovely Manor gardens and tea room to enjoy (dogs allowed.) Wish we'd got a few nights to spare for Dorset!Smile
