North Cape road trip

For those who are interested we ventured to the North Cape some years ago along with friends. My wife and I in our 'Arto G' and friends with their caravan! My wife wont fly and hates the sea! All our trips to Europe etc., are therefore always via Dover-Calais (P & O stockholder concessions for more years than I care to remember!). The round trip lasted four weeks and entailed 6,500 miles in total! Aside from the ferry we made no advance bookings anywhere! Admittedly we travel out of shool holidays but never had a problem finding campsites. Unlike many sites in the UK we find most continental sites remain open (for tourers) until late at night.
