European touring

This story happened on: 28/10/2013

Just a few lines to assist and offer help. Since the early 70's we have toured Europe. For the first few years we towed a caravan down to Camping de la P{lage in Ste Tropez bay. We then progressed to a motorhome (in order for us to be able to tow our Fletcher speedboat). We went to camping de la Plage for many years and this is the ONLY campsite we have EVER made an advanced booking for and that was because we were always lucky enough to pitch on a beach front site next to the sea. In time the children grew to old to holiday with us and we then started touring, never staying any one place longer than 48 hours! Though we have toured extensively throughout Europe and Scandinavia it is always outside of school holiday periods. Our trips are always for at least four weeks and we have NEVER (with the exception of Camping de la Plage) booked any campsite in advance. In all those years (at least 40+) we have NEVER ever had a problem finding a comfortable site. So if my experience can be of any help or assistance to others then please contact me - geoffrey.reed@btinternet.com
